Bridal Skin Care

Walking down the aisle and mesmerizing everybody with her beauty is every bride's dream. A girl waits for her wedding day all her life and she wants to look nothing but the best on this occasion. Once the wedding date is fixed, the pre-bridal skin care begins. Girls rush to spas and salons to book pre-wedding packages. Along with these pre-bridal packages, it is essential to follow a strict and disciplined pre-bridal skin care regime at home if you want to look like an angel descended from the Heavens on your big day.

Skin Care Basics:

For a glowing skin, go back to nature's lap for its indispensable gift: water. Drink eight to ten glasses of water to get a perfectly radiant and hydrated skin. It detoxifies your body. Establish a cleansing-toning-moisturizing regime. Cleansing cleans the dirt particles from the skin pores and lets the skin breathe. Toning helps restore the pH balance of the skin, and moisturizing keeps the skin tender and supple.

You can opt for home facials once a week. Exfoliate your skin with natural scrubs to remove the dead skin. You can take one teaspoon of oats, add a little water and rub it gently with your fingertips in a circular motion on your skin. Let it dry and wash it off with cold water; this prevents clogging of your skin pores. Apply a moisturizer with SPF 15 before going out in the sun. Make sure you apply moisturizer 15-20 minutes before stepping outside.

Hair Care:

For the crowning glory, you must take care of your hair. Shampoo your hair regularly at least two or three times a week. Use mild shampoo containing chamomile or rosemary. Wash it with lukewarm water followed by cold water with a teaspoon of cider or vinegar.

Condition your hair once a week using Henna hair pack. Mix two egg yolks, ¼ cup gram flour, 1 lemon and ¼ cup of Henna mixed with warm water. Apply for one hour and then wash with a gentle shampoo.

If you're planning to get a hair cut or a hair color, get it done it two to three weeks before the wedding so that the hair looks settled and natural. Do not experiment with a new hairstylist; always go to your usual salon and the usual stylist because they are aware of what looks good on you, suits you, and matches your face and body type.

Body Care:

Your body requires as much attention as your face. Exfoliate your body with a mixture of ¼ cup of oats, ¼ cup of powder milk and ¼ cup of thick starch. Let it set and then wash it off after 20 minutes with warm water. Moisturize your body regularly using a quality body lotion.

Hands and Feet Care:

To get silky soft hands, apply coconut oil mixed with hand cream before going to bed. During the day, apply and cream and cuticle cream at least once.

For supple and beautiful feet, scrub your feet with a stiff brush using soap to prevent cracked and hard heels. Then, rub them with a pumice stone to remove the dead skin. Wash and dry them following a massage with castor oil mixed with one drop of Lavender essential oil. Besides all this, to get the perfect look you also need to have a balanced diet. Eat fruits like guava, apples, pomegranates and oranges. Have plenty of sprouts and salads of tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, etc. Avoid eating oily and junk food. And most of all, do not compromise with your beauty sleep. Sleep for seven to eight hours daily to avoid dark circles, wrinkles and puffy eyes.
